I find the older I get and more things I learn the more cynical and skeptical I become. An attitude of optimism is more difficult and more important with each passing day.
Ah, the sweetness of those first late spring strawberries. What an angel faced boy you have. I would certainly be one of those gawking strangers you describe staring at that beautiful baby if I were a passerby.
We won't have strawberries here for a full month yet! I've been out of homeade jam since March so I'm counting the days until my summer trip to the berry fields. Wish I could have come with you all!
